Have any of you ever had any experience with the Wacom 12" Cintiq?
I've been saving up for months to get one. And now that I finally have the money, I'm starting to reconsider. It's about $1000 USD. It's got a 12.1" screen - the actual dimensions are 10.3" x 6.4". I'm nervous that this won't be enough "real estate" to get the job done. That being said I would use this in conjunction with another monitor, and the thing apparently has the ability to control the second monitor at the touch of a button. So going back and forth would be a piece of cake. It's also not quite as portible as one would hope. I believe it runs one cable from the cintiq to a converter/router box, which in turn requires USB and DVI input/output as well as the power cord.
I think it would work well for my situation, especially since I don't want to have to wait another 5 or 6 months to save up for the 21" Cintiq.
Any thoughts?

What to do, what to do?
Does anyone know if there is some way to take my DA account offline for a little while without actually deleting the entire thing? I don't want to do deviant art for the time being, but I would absolutely hate to lose all my posts, friends, etc. Any suggestions?
10 Things Meme
~ghostcharmer (https://www.deviantart.com/ghostcharmer) tagged me for this particular meme. I normally don't go for these, but this was fun and I was in desperate need of a journal update!
1->You must post these rules (VERY Important )
2->Each person must post 10 things about themselves on their journal.
3->Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create ten new questions for the people you tag to answer.
4->You have to choose 10 people to tag and post their icons on your journal.
5->Go to their pages and tell them you have tagged her/him.
6->No tag backs
7->No crap in the tagging section about "you are tagged if you're reading this." You legitimatel
Ignore Everybody: And 39 Other Keys to Creativity
I just picked up this book by Hugh MacLeod, and artist writing on the subject of success and creativity. I've only read the first few chapters, but I'm seriously impressed. A few quotes....
"With business colleagues it's even worse. They're used to dealing with you in a certain way. They're used to having a certain level of control over the relationship. And they want whatever makes them more prosperous. Sure, they might prefer it if you prosper as well, but that's not their top priority. If your idea is so good that it changes your dynamic enough to where you need them) less or, God forbid, the market needs them less, then they're go

You don't know me, but I saw your journal and I have the small cintiq as well. In fact, I am using it right now, lol.
Its awesome, and just as great as the big ones. I got this one cause it was more affordable, an its still amazing. I'm a freelance animator/concept artist and I can get the job done. Plus since its really portable I take it when I go on trips with my laptop, and do work wherever I go.
Has easy flow with monitors, and in fact, I have it hooked up to two puters at once. I know, I'm crazy.
Hope this helps you decision!
