The foolby ~kidoho

Scraps©2006-2013 ~kidoho
Tarot card assignment for class. This is the illustration at least. Now I need to go into illustrator and finish off the design.

Question. Does anybody think this could use some color, or would, perhaps color kill it?

What the *hell* was John going on about in class, with regards to this picture?

I think the best way to color it would require doing knockouts of most of the black areas (i.e. converting them to color in Photoshop), leaving a minimum of black (just the main outlines of the figure, staff, and ground). Speaking expertly as your former colorist, of course :)

A former colorist that I would highly recommend....

John thinks everything sucks! I'm surprised you haven't figured that out yet.

I like the idea of flat muted color. With maybe a hint of shading and texture here and there.

Great work!

This looks like something that can go inside a D and D book. I like it.

I think if the color were dark and washed out enough, but still with like a hint of color, and didnt overpower it... it could work. I'd make a copy and test it.

The line differnces from the forground are awsome O_O.
