Dog Animation with BG by kidoho Dog Animation with BG by kidoho
Just another part of the dog animation that I had posted earlier. Thanks for everybody's critiques with that. Sorry, I never got around to pushing that whole lazy eye thing. I'm just a slacker, I guess. Anyways, I am going somewhere with this, so anybody and everybody's input is mucho appreciado. Lemme know what you think of the character and the layout style and what not.

yeah... really funny... needs more weight though... a little more squash.. I know you want the light and airy feel to him, but I think you can still do that with more air time after a squash.

thanks. i know it could use a little more weight, but i was experimenting with limited animation. if i get the time, i'll hopefully revamp this run a little.

Wow dude...this keeps getting better.
The layout is fine, everything reads great so far. I'd definitely like to see that lazy eye thing happen, that would definitely add a just a small itty bitty touch of character to make him that much more humorous.
You've definitely inspired me to take a stab at this.
I read that you traditionally animated it, then drew it in illustrator.
Did you put the files into flash to export it as the mov after that?
Can't wait to see more!!

thanks. i basic built the thing in layers using illustrator. i then exported the files into photoshop where i basically prepared them as frames. after that came premeire where i loaded it up in its folder and turn it into animation. finally i put all the layers of animation together in after effects. actually, now that i explained it all that way, it sounds rather like a waste of time. oh well, i was having fun. theres probably more efficient means of doing it. but, i didn't have flash at my disposal - nor the know how to operate it.

Nah, it wasn't a waste of time.
Take out the Illustrator part, and that's exactly how I made that animation I posted of the Scottish guy.
Nonetheless, the work paid off. There's still more to it, right?
It's still a cool test if not.
Thanks for the explanation...
